If your car has been damaged, then it may need a paint job along with other auto body repair work. If you are thinking of changing the color of your car, then you want to be sure to choose the best color for the car. There are certain things that you are going to want to consider before you take the car in and tell the auto body shop to paint it a certain color. Sometimes your emotions can lead to you choosing a color that just doesn't work right for you and your car. Here is a short guide to help you select the best color for your car.

Black cars

Black cars can look amazing. There is something about the sleek and stealthy look of a black car. Black cars can be great when it comes to detailing them. You can add just about any color as a secondary color and it will go great against the black.

However, there are also some things to know about black cars that aren't such great attributes. One of the things to know about black cars is they absorb sunlight. This means you will find the inside of your car getting hotter. Not only can this cause damage to its interior but it also makes the car more uncomfortable for you. Black cars also show dirt more than other colors.

White cars

White is one of the easiest colors to keep looking good on cars. The dust and other dirt won't show up the way you many expect. Also, white cars don't absorb the sunlight like darker cars, so they stay cooler on hot days. Since white cars don't stand out as obviously as many other colors, you can even end up getting pulled over less when driving a white car.

One of the things to consider about white cars is they don't do well on certain types of terrain, such as freshly laid asphalt. The black specks will make the white car look horrible.

Red cars

Red cars can look stunning. If you paint your car red and have black interior and trim, your car can have a very flashy appearance. Red shows dirt more than white cars but less than black cars. Red also isn't known for absorbing sunlight, which helps keep the car cooler when it's hot outside.

Red cars are very easy to notice, and they often get attention from law enforcement. So if you do decide to go with a red car, you better be prepared to always follow every driving law or be ready to pay tickets.
